Please don't laugh, my OCD is asking. Is there a way to show only the file names in CAPS during a file list. It seems to show up whatever way the user enters the filename at upload. Thanks.

    The way it is now:

    ExitDoor.zip A 5k A BBS Exit Door Utility
    EXITDOOR.ZIP A 5k A BBS Exit Door Utility
    exitdoor.zip A 5k A BBS Exit Door Utility

    What I'm looking For:

    EXITDOOR.ZIP A 5k A BBS Exit Door Utility
    EXITDOOR.ZIP A 5k A BBS Exit Door Utility
    EXITDOOR.ZIP A 5k A BBS Exit Door Utility

I'm curious why you'd want the filenames to be all uppercase?
Although the FAT filesystem used in DOS was not case-sensitive, flesystems in common operating systems these days are case-sensitive, so I think even the displayed case of the filenames matters. I think in some cases, preserving the filename case might make them easier to read as long as they're cased properly (i.e., I think ExitDoor is at least a little easier to read than EXITDOOR or exitdoor).

On case-sensitive file systems (e.g. most *nix OS file systems), ExitDoor.zip, EXITDOOR.ZIP and exitdoor.zip are 3 different files. So showing them as all having the same name would be... wrong.

On Windows, NTFS and FAT32 anyway, they are case-presevering (but not case-sensitive) filenames, so while you couldn't have all 3 those files in the same directory, it is still in fact, *the* filename.

With v3.19 one can (and Nightfox has demonstrated) create their own file listing interface in JS and in such a script, you could display the filenames however you like (all CAPS, all lowercase, etc.), but as a user, I'd prefer to see the original/proper file case.

I was just giving that as an example, as there is no file called EXITDOOR. I just wanted all my file names CAPPED. Seeing the reasons you and NightFox have given me, I'll leave that alone, and tell my OCD to accept it. :-) As alwats, Thanks
